PRESIDENTS CORNER

 

President’s Goals for 2008 - Continue to (1) increase membership numbers, (2) provide conscientious financial direction and accurate record keeping. (3) increase participation & leadership from our members at large for the benefit of all members.
 

** Looking Ahead - We are pleased to announce the following events:

    May 31st – Annual Picnic / Pig Roast.

    June 30th – Senior Prom Formal / Semi-formal Dance.

    Dec. 19th Christmas Dinner Dance at the Fox Valley Country Club.

    Dec 29th – Pre-New Year’s Eve Dance.

Many other plans are in the making, but more about these in our next newsletter!

** Increased Costs - Effective June 1st, 2008 dues are $25 per year.  This is necessary due to the increases in operating costs.  We think you’ll agree membership is a real bargain given the social contacts, activities and events offered to you.  Effective June 30th, admission to Band dances will now be $8 for members and $10 for visitors.  Admission to DJ dances will remain $6 for members and $8 for visitors.

** Membership Info - If you move or have any changes to your email address or telephone number, please complete a new Membership Application.  The form is available at the dance entry table or can be copied from our website.  At the time of renewal of membership, all members are to fill out a new Membership Application,  NO Exceptions!  These can be dropped off with Valerie at a dance or mail to the P.O. Box we have listed on the application.  We want to ensure everyone receives the newsletter, activity schedules and calendars promptly.

** Hospitality - Welcome our newest Hospitality members – Theresa Beringer, Rich Biwer (also our Webmaster), Georgene Jareck, Diane Knight and Harvey Wegner.  Still “on board” are Carol Clark & Larry Fritz (Committee Chairman).  They can be helpful answering questions,  just ask them!

** Activity Sign-up Sheet - Did you know that sign-up sheets to attend our host activities are available on the activities table at our dances?  Save time and phone calls by making use of these sheets.  Hosts or hostesses are always needed.  Questions?  Talk to Lynn!
